Odyssey Landscape Painting

Landscape development was one of the main innovations of Roman painting compared to Greek. Unfortunately, few examples of the genre have come to today, highlighting a fresco found in the Villa Boscotrecase of Pompeii, and, above all, the “Landscapes of the Odyssey”, found in 1848 in a house on the Esquiline Hill, in Rome.
